After 18 years at my brother’s company, Nowak Realty, Inc., I felt it was time to serve the community I live in with outstanding real estate service. Having lived in Woodridge since 2008, I know the community, the schools, the park district, Cypress Cove, and the various other amenities our village offers.

To Woodridge, I bring not only experience, but passion and tenacity when it comes to selling homes. I absolutely love my job and take great pride in being a hard-working, personable agent. Besides the tenacity, I also bring experience which helps immensely when difficult situations arise—I’ve tackled just about every hiccup that can materialize in a given transaction. Closing one door and opening another can be emotional and stressful; my goal is to make your transition from one phase of your life to another as smooth as possible.
 

Education and beyond

I attended DePaul University, and through many years of hard work, earned a full scholarship to play softball for the Blue Demons. While studying to graduate with a degree in English Education, I earned 1st Team All-American honors in 1995 and 2nd Team All-American honors in 1994 at 2nd base.  Upon graduation, I participated in several Olympic Festivals and was a part of USA Softball, where I vied for a spot on the Olympic team in 1996 and 2000, all while teaching high school English at Mother McAuley High School. Although my Olympic hopes were cut short, the experiences, discipline and mental toughness carried over into my real estate career, which started in 1998 just to supplement my income as a Catholic school teacher. I quickly fell in love with selling homes, working closely with people, and bringing two sides together. Athletes bring an intangible that typically leads to success in their work; I still love to compete and win, but now my winning consists of getting clients to the closing table and making sure my clients are happy with the end result.

 

Personal

My husband Dan and I live in Woodridge with our two children, Drew and Zac. Drew is a freshman at Marquette University, majoring in Political Science and Pre-Law. Zac is a junior at Downers Grove South and is the goalkeeper for the soccer team. Both have and are receiving a wonderful education in this amazing community we chose. We believe in this community and all it has to offer; Woodridge is just a great place to live, work, shop and play, and I look forward to having Ridge Realty and Associates, Inc. be an important resource for this community for many years to come.
